Dual Frequency Sonde

This dual frequency compact Sonde can be used to trace drains, sewers and other non-conductive utilities. It acts like a signal transmitter and can be attached to a range of equipment including drain rods, boring tools and inspection cameras.

Applications

Once attached to a rod (or similar) the Sonde can be inserted and pushed along the utility under investigation. Using an EZiCAT cable locator to locate it on the surface, you can trace pipes which do not produce their own signal and which you are unable to apply a signal to (i.e. plastic pipe). The Sonde operates in both 8kHz and 33kHz modes and flashes a different colour depending on what mode it’s in, making it simple and easy to use.

The dual frequency Sonde is ideal for:

Tracing the path of a pipe or drain Locating blockages or collapses in drains Locating or tracing non-metallic pipes that don’t produce a signal. The depth range of the Sonde is up to 5 metres. Please Note: You will need to use a cable locator that has depth estimation on to get a depth reading.

GeoMax QBL Storm Receiver

Geoconnect_geomax_QBL Storm laser receiverThe Storm detector is really practical in all details. With the great field of reception it is very easy to find the laser beam. The display shows the difference to the reference height in mm, which is a huge advantage for many tasks. It has 5 levels of accuracy ranging from 0.5mm to 10mm. The operation range of 60 hours is more than practical and is even significantly prolonged by the energy-saving mode.

GeoMax QBL QL125 Pipe Laser (QL125)

geomax_qbl_ql_125_pipe_laserA High Powered Solution for Underground Work.

The QL 125 laser is designed for use when space is limited. Its short length means the laser can be used in tight bends and narrow manholes.

The manual alignment function allows you to direct the laser by remote control onto a reference rod outside the excavation, without later having to use the grade-setting control once more in the manhole.

  1. Set the desired grade.
  2. Direct the laser beam onto the reference rod.
  3. Press the alignment button to return the laser beam to the original grade setting – the line is exactly preserved.

Cross axis orientation can be done very conveniently using the digital spirit level shown on the display. If the the cross axis is exceeded, the QL 125 warns the user with a pulsating beam.

PACKAGE INCLUDES: seven button remote, universal pipe target, 8″ & 10″ base extensions, HD 25′ DC Power cable, Li-Ion batteries, charger & carrying case

Geomax EzDig

The new easy and accurate way to guide excavators

Excavator work has always been based on either intuitive guesswork or by using costly and difficult-to-install-and-operate machine control systems. GeoMax EzDig is the alternative.

Operating an excavator has mainly been based on guesswork. Does this look like a 1:2 slope? Is the depth of this trench 1.5m deep or will I hit the pipeline at 2.5m? Even with the help of batter rails and reference pegs roughly providing guidance, the job still remained at best a “good guess”. Classic machine control systems are not an option because even if they provide you with all this information, they are expensive and time consuming to install and learn.

The new GeoMax EzDig S and T excavator guidance system offers the easiest calibration and equipment operation available on the market – and at an affordable price. The EzDig excavator guidance systems “work when you do!”

Benefits

  • No more overcutting, costly fill materials and rework
  • Eliminate checking and installation machine downtime
  • No more time consuming tape measurements Save fuel, time and material
  • Save fuel, time and material

Geomax t300xf transmitter cable locator

xf-series_signal_transmitterMain Benefits

The xf-Series signal transmitters (gennys) are compact, robust and easy to use. They have four frequencies and have been designed to trace buried utilities over long distances in conjunction with the EZiCAT xf-Series cable locators.

We would always recommend using a EZiTEX xf-Series signal transmitter whenever you are trying to locate buried utilities using an xf-Series EZiCAT locator.

  • Improved utility detection in areas of high signal interference
  • Enables depth estimation, when using a depth estimation cable locator
  • Enables you to locate non-conductive utilities (i.e. not giving off an active signal) by applying an active signal onto the utilities. The signal can then be traced using any EZiCAT xf-Series locator. Using a EZiTEX signal transmitters this way will help you locate around 50% more buried utilities than using an EZiCAT cable locator alone.

Which is the right product for you?

Both of the EZiTEX xf-Series signal transmitters (t100 xf and t300 xf) come with the following intelligent features:

  • Modes:
    • 33kHz
    • 8kHz
    • 640Hz
    • 512Hz
  • Clear audio and visual controls
  • Built-in test function, allowing operators to test the hardware and software is funtioning correctly before use.

EZiTEX t100 xf is a 1 Watt signal transmitter.

An intelligent signal transmitter to trace buried utilities over long distances.

EZiTEX t300 xf is a 3 Watt signal transmitter.

Geomax EZiCAT i750xf GPS, Data Logging Cable Locator

EZiSYSTEM_xf-Series_product_detailMain Benefits

As with all our cable locators the EZiCAT i750 xf is robust and easy to use. Packed full of all of the intelligent, beneficial features included in the EZiCAT i650 xf  but with the additional benefit of integrated GPS technology. Plus extra lower frequencies make tracing buried utilities over long distances easy and efficient.

The intelligent EZiCAT i750 xf cable locator has fully integrated GPS technology and data logging capability, providing you with information on where, when and how the locator has been used. This information can then be transferred via Bluetooth® to LOGiCAT software, making downloading and analysing the data quick and easy. This data is useful to help identify training needs of users and for traceability of locating following a near miss, utility strike or similar incident.

Bluetooth®

The cable locator is suitable for a wide range of applications and can be used with the EZiTEX xf-Series signal transmitters and EZiSYSTEM accessories for increased accuracy and applications.

Applications

The EZiCAT i750 xf is can be used before any excavation work to avoid striking a buried utility but is ideal for tracing buried cables and pipes over long distances and depth estimation. This locator will increase your on-site safety, save you time, with the unique ‘Automatic Pinpointing’ feature, and save you money by reducing cable strikes.

You can use the locator to detect a number of different cables or pipes:

  • Electricity cables
  • Data / telecomms cables
  • Conductive pipes (including; steel, cast iron etc.)
  • Non-conductive pipes or cables (including; clay, concrete etc.) when used in conjunction with Cable Detection’s accessories and/or EZiTEX xf-Series signal transmitter to detect them.

EZiCAT i750 xf Intelligent Features

All EZiCAT xf-Series locators always start in the last mode used and have with two lower frequencies (512Hz and 640Hz), making them ideal for tracing buried utilities over long distances.

The EZiCAT i750 xf has integrated GPS technology and data logging capability, which helps you to see when and how the locator has been used. This is very useful to help identify training needs of users and for traceability of locating following a near miss, utility strike or similar incident.

As with all EZiCAT locators the EZiCAT i750 xf  has all the well-known features you need to locate buried utilities effectively along with the unique ‘Automatic Pinpointing’ feature which makes locating buried utilities easy and simple. You don’t need to manually adjust the sensitivity of the locator because the locator does this for you automatically. Ensuring that you are using the optimum sensitivity for the environment you are locating in.

To access and analyse the data collected by the locator you will also need the LOGiCAT software or you will need to integrate te EZICAT i750 xf with mobile mapping technology to log the survey data.
